Lovely Korean Restaurant. We have been watching a lot of Korean Tv series lately and wanted to give it a try. Nice ambiance and they also have a Karoake Party going on another side. We have ordered two Chulpan Bibimbabs with Vegetables and a side of Stir fried broccoli. Also Bottle of Korean Cherry wine which was nice too. Overall the service and food were awesome. We will be returning here again.
Maintain that they have the best chicken tenders on Earth. My friends and partner love the rest of their food as well. Outside is very unassuming, but they've made a lot of great updates to the interior in terms of seating areas and offerings. Love it here! Generally pretty quiet, even with kpop music videos playing in the main dining area
I went to Soo Cafe and was completely unaware they've made changes (ok, it's been a while). They've updated the seating to a more lounge feel. I was told today (6/23/2025) was their first day with the setup. Ok! Why not? They also have a little shop up front selling snacks and drinks. I highly recommend the honey pear hot tea that was advertised at the register (looking to buy more of it now). I had it with my meal. The fried chicken was on point as always. No need to waste your time at the chain place on the other side of Capital. Soga chicken tenders for me. Also had seaweed salad and roasted broccoli, both really good. My food pics do them a disservice but I thought it'd be worth updating the interior pics.
The food is good and authentic. We were a little confused ordering the wings. When we ordered 2 sauces, we thought they would come in 2 separated plates or at least having something to separat them. The 2 sauces wings came in one plate which we didn't know the difference. The service is good. They have a KOK room but not sure how it works, we didn't ask. They also have a small stage area playing K-pop which is very interesting.
Found this spot online as I was looking for good Korean fried chicken. I have to admit when I pulled up to the spot, I was apprehensive. The restaurant is located in a dying strip mall and the outside is very unassuming. BUT! The food was amazing. I ordered fried dumplings, spicy beef bulgogi, and fried chicken wings: 5 with SOGA and 5 with Sweet Chili sauce. Every single thing was perfect! The crisp on the chicken was light and crunchy even after being sauced! The Bulgogi was some of the best I’ve ever had, and the spice level was perfect! To top it off our server was amazing! He was fast, attentive and extremely kind and friendly in spite of being the only server there and handling the lunch rush by himself! Soo Cafe is definitely a hidden gem! I recommend to anyone who loves Korean food! I will be back, again and again!
We came for dinner and ordered from the menu based on the server's recommendations. We ordered both boneless and bone-in fried chicken with different sauces. The food arrived quickly, as there were only two occupied tables in the restaurant at the time. The fried chicken was different from American fried chicken. It was crispy and tender, not dry. The sauce was unique, a blend of spicy, sour, and sweet flavors. We ordered the Large portion. If you want to try fried chicken that's different from the usual, this restaurant could be a great choice.
